Gudbrandsdal War Memorial Collection — Attraction in Nord-Fron

A must-see for all history lovers passing by. A much bigger museum than it looks from the outside, with remarkable items some not even found anywhere else in the world (such as a WWII-era German experimental tank, with only 5 ever produced, and this probably being the only one left in the world...). The staff is excellent and with a superb knowledge of the war to help guide you through the museum with stories and not so well known events from the war in Norway, if wanted.

All in all a truly wonderful museum...

An excellent museum documenting the 17th century scottish invasion, the german invasion of 1940, the subsequent occupation and the liberation. It includes the only remaining physical evidence of the Neubaufahrzeug used by the german forces in 1940, one of which was lost to a british crewed Hotchkiss 25mm A/T gun during the action at Kvam in...

Definitely recommend. The collections of items really show the aesthetics of the time, and the knowledgeable retelling of stories and interesting facts made the whole experience feel very immersive. Enjoyed it...
