Uvdal Alpinsenter — Attraction in Nore og Uvdal

The lifts and slopes are decent enough, and the green slope is great for beginners. Sadly however, the customer experience for us was quite horrendous.

We arrived at 1.35 PM and bought four three-hour passes. Much to my surprise they closed the slopes at 4 PM. I asked Kjetil, the manager why they would sell us three-hour passes when they were closing in less than two and a half. I was met with no understanding what-so-ever as to how I could possibly find that unreasonable.

His argument was that we should have known when they closed. I tried telling him that; even though we should have done our due diligence and checked their opening hours before buying, I wouldn't find it unreasonable for the person in the ticket booth to inform us that the passes we were buying extended beyond their opening hours. Now, I don't really care about the money, and I wasn't even expecting a refund, but what honestly ruined the experience for me was the total lack of understanding or willingness to see the customers side of things demonstrated by Kjetil. All he wanted to do was argue and make us feel stupid for not checking the opening hours before buying. Worst customer service experience in Norway so far

I just bought an extra ski pass for today by mistake as my family already bought one for me. When I wanted to return it asking for a refund, the employee said that he could only refund half the amount because he can’t be sure that I haven’t used it in the meantime. This is truly ridiculous because I was standing a mere five minutes max virtually next to his stall putting my gloves on and there were hardly any other customers.

I also showed him my skis which were untouched by snow. Still he insisted. I tried to get in touch with his manager who wasn’t available (I was told to send an email about my complaint). So unfortunately I have to leave this bad review as a settlement in person was not possible.
