From Oppdal, a trail will take you north-east towards Stølen and Fagerhaug. Along the way you will find Oppdal’s most visited lean-to shelter during winter, Guriberget. This is a favorite hike for kids in a gentle terrain, 1.5 km north of Stølen Skisenter. You have the option to continue to Stavsjøen (9 km) or Fjellskolen (11.5 km). In fact, Stølen offers a big playground for both kids and adults. 3 km north of Oppdal lies Stølen. An excellent place for the kids because of the kid-friendly slopes and the easy access. Stølen has a various network of runs and can even surprise you with some great powder. In Stølen you will find two children's lifts, two t-bars, and a top-lift.

Great hills and lifts for many different levels of skill. It is possible to go for longer downhills as well, with a round trip in the mountain. There are also a parts for the crowd who wants to do jumps and tricks, but these seem to be for the advanced skiiers as even the smallest of the jumps provides a lot of air-time. It would have been great with some possibilities for beginners in this area too. It's possible to do skiing in the evenings here at certain days as well, which is to be recommended. This is not possible in the busiest period during easter, so one has to go there off-season for this possibility.

Very nice place to go skiing. I skied there the first time after 10 years and it was an incredible experience. During the week it was even nicer because then it was almost empty but at the weekend it was pretty full and you had to wait a while at the lift. Furthermore, only two slopes where open although the snow canons where active on other slopes all the time because there was not enough snow. However, it was great and I enjoyed it a lot.

Man vägrade t.o.m.
