Old mine Løkken — Attraction in Orkland

Wir waren am 12. Juli zu Besuch in der Løkken Gruva – und es war eines der absoluten Highlights unserer Norwegenreise! Die Gruppe wurde aufgrund der Sprache aufgeteilt, und wir hatten das große Glück, mit Pia unterwegs zu sein.

Ihre Begeisterung für die Geschichte des Ortes war einfach ansteckend. Mit viel Herz, Wissen und einem tollen Gespür für Timing und Details hat sie die Führung zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Man merkt, dass sie ihre Aufgabe liebt – und genau das macht den Unterschied.

Die Location selbst ist schon beeindruckend, aber in Kombination mit dieser lebendigen Vermittlung wird sie zum echten Abenteuer. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die sich für Bergbaugeschichte interessieren – oder einfach für Geschichten, die unter die Haut gehen.

Ein riesiges Dankeschön an Pia – du hast diesen Tag unvergesslich gemacht!

We visited Løkken Gruva on July 12th – and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Norway! The group was split according to language, and we were lucky enough to have Pia as our guide.

Her enthusiasm for the history of the site was truly contagious. With passion, knowledge, and a great sense of storytelling, she turned the tour into something very special. You could tell she genuinely loves what she does – and that made all the difference.

The location itself is fascinating, but combined with the way the story was told, it became a real adventure. Highly recommended for anyone interested in mining history – or just in stories that stick with you.

We took the tour (about about 1 hour) through the Old Mine with our 3 kids and enjoyed it a lot. The guides were great and spoke English as well as German, the story was interesting and I can still smell the sulfur in my fingers.

Do bring a warm jacket an decent shoes before you go in: it's cold 14-15°C inside vs 28°C outside (...

Very interesting mine with a lot of history. The guide was great and we have learned a lot. Tickets can be bought both at the mine and the museum. There are 3 tours a day. Two in English, one...
