Beautiful scenery, its a "must do" if you are in Andalsnes. Gondola rides are quite expensive, nearly £45 return (495 Nok for adult atm). We went up with Gondola (one way is 330 Nok, about £30), and trekked down. Fortunately we had a really good weather with sun out and dry, could not ask better, so the path were not so slippery, but I can imagine if it was rainy or icy, then will be very slippery and would be not pleasant experience. I enjoyed going down a lot, challenging but rewarding as well, as you see great views on the way down and enjoy as long as you wish. One of the best sceneries I've seen in Norway so far!!!
*If you have weak knees, a weak heart, or have any bit of mobility issues, I would not recommend going up or down as this path is quite steep, lots of steps and challenging! Make sure to wear proper...
