Go for the views! This is a fairly straight forward hike, mostly gentle uphill to start, with a few sharper gradients as you go, and a ridge to hike up at the end. We camped at the summit and saw an incredible display of the northern lights as well as a beautiful sunrise and sunset (plus some overnight snow!). It took us just over 2.5 hours up and 1.5 hours down.

The biggest downfall of the hike is the bog just over halfway through, after the first mini summit at ~300m - the boards to help you across are not worth using as they're mostly underwater at the start, as well as being extremely slippery & not sitting on solid ground. There are even large (1m+) gaps where the water/mud is over a metre deep and jumping over would likely end badly. Don't waste your time and rather just walk to the right of them, directly through the shallower parts of the bog as it's just water and isn't over ankle deep for the most part. A walking pole used to guage depth was useful for us as well and saved us from a few potential swims! Thankfully this aside, it was still very...

I can’t explain what this was like other than it felt like heaven. Moderate hike at best, muddy at parts but once you reach the ridge hike portion, the views are fantastic, especially of Okshornan...
