One of the best hikes for amazing view for me. This hikes difficulty changes quite a bit a bit according to the weather. I hiked during heavy fog and it was scary and seemed to be never ending as you can’t see the top. I would compare this hike with Yosemite half dome but with better views.

If you want a bit more adrenaline, you can hike on the left side for breadth taking view but be very careful as you can easily misstep there.

The incline at the end seems to be 45 degrees and rocky with not much defined path so be ready to pretty much climb here and not hike.

The views are amazing and breathtaking but most of the view that folks see of Segla is for another hike hasten which starts around the same place as this one.

The parking is pretty tricky as locals don’t like you to park pretty much anywhere near so be ready to walk for 10-15 mins from the school parking or harbor...

Amazing view after a hard hike. We went up on a hot summer evening with a lot of insects, so don't forget to bring insect repellent if your going on a warm day. We started at 7pm and arrived back at the car at around 10pm (including dinner on top of the Mountain :))

We had some other hikers who walked very fast downwards, nearly running and some stones felt with a lot of speed in our direction. So be careful. Also the steep cliff is on the left side of the trail (when you hike up the hill) so better take a way thats more on the right side.

Update 2 years later The Parking lot was changed from around 50/70 cars to 10/20 cars and it was completely full when we arrived, so we could not do the hike again. We left Senja...

Amazing views to be had at this iconic peak. The hike is short, but quite steep, and having some good shoes will help. You go back the way you came up (it is not possible to go down any other way without a belay rope). The parking lot is easy to find, and the path is fairly easy to follow. At a brisk walking pace we used 2.5 hours. There are other hikes near by, if you want to take a picture of Segla itself, Hesten is a good spot for it (further out...

Who wouldn't mind waking up to this view? 📍Segla, Norway. The hike up this mountain is short but surprisingly tough, a 5km roundtrip trek that lasts 3-4 hours with a reward of breathtaking panoramic views of Norway! 🎥: @gaston_luna
