Just an overall great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about his heritage and provided excellent information about Sami culture. I truly learned a lot and was fascinated by the rock carvings exhibit they were having the time I visited. You get to see a 10 minute video about the seasons and the relationship between Sami herders and their reindeer. There is also an outdoor experience where you get to feel and see how Sami people live and catch reindeer. It was a very personable experience because our guide had so much patience in answering all of our questions and shared a lot about his heritage; I learned so much! There is a nice gift shop as well. Definitely family friendly. The museum is looking to expand in the future and display more of the ancient archeological artifacts they posses from excavations etc. So I look forward to visiting again...

Worthy detour to learn about...
