Amazing little island with helpful caretakers. Thanks for the waffles and cider and the tour of the lighthouse--what a wonderful day😁. You can take private ferry tour but the normal postal ferry is half the price, leaves at 7:40 in the morning from Hardbakke sets of back to Hardbakke at 7:25.

Ein fantastisk stad. Og nydeleg tur Utvær Fyr Lenger mot vest er det ikkje mogleg å reise i Noreg dersom du skal ha fast grunn under føtene. Det er ikkje fastbuande på Utvær i dag, men om sommaren er det eit yrande liv i alle husa. Utvær fyrstasjon ble bygd i 1900, sist endra i 1952 og har vore radiofyr fra 1954. Under andre verdenskrig vart fyret i 1945 sterkt skada i flyangrep, og det 31 meter høge støypejernstårnet fekk nytt lyktehus i 1948.
