This is a really good indoor play area for kids and is a welcome distraction on one of the frequent wet and windy days in Stavanger. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and post-Covid it got a bit of a facelift and redesign which made it a lot better with a baby and toddler area that was more tucked away than it had been previously which is a smart move.
The staff are friendly and usually on the ball with regards to serving customers.
Where I have to knock it down though is on the cleanliness side. It’s a bloody state to be honest and always feels like an afterthought. If I was coming at 3 in the afternoon then maybe several hours worth of kids running around and eating at lunch making a mess should be expected but my kids are 6 and 4 and I prefer to come earlier before it gets to busy.
The attached photos maybe don’t do justice to what I’m complaining about but these were taken at about 9:30 so the place had only been open half an hour and it a disgrace. There is supposed to be no food or drink taken into the play areas and kept at the canteen area but that clearly isn’t enforced as bits of popcorn and food wrappers litter the floor.
I’ve seen staff vacuuming the floors but after it’s opened and kids are running about all over the place so it’s more of a tripping hazard by that point. Also, the toilets weren’t particularly clean either and had dried pee on them.
Why are they not doing the tidying up at closing time the night before or in the morning before opening time? Because Norwegians don’t give a toss or complain that’s why! It’s the same with dozens of establishments in this country where “customer service” is a completely foreign concept. For a country with such a “high standard of living” it’s ridiculous how shoddy and half arsed some things are.
Another thing that is in dire need of upgrading is the car park. I get that space is limited perhaps but you could bury someone in those potholes in the car park for goodness sakes. Slight exaggeration perhaps but I’m sure this place is raking in enough cash to be able to afford some bags of gravel and sand to fill the holes in the car park which is made of…gravel and sand.
I’m still being fair giving it 4 stars as I do think it’s good but it needs a proper clean and staff/management need to understand the concept of being ready for opening before customers arrive and not waiting till it’s already open before doing the basic cleaning and...
Read moreDidn’t like so much. Did not meet my expectations. Came with 1,5 year old. The area is big but equipment is quite worn out. Pillows on the attraction in the picture have not been washed for a long time. And it is not allowed to have your own food in the area. So we had to go out to eat our food. Not nice especially for kids with allergies and with junk food sold there. Not worth the price in my opinion. Went to Bryne instead next time. There is a small lekeland but ok for 1,5 year old and everything looks relatively new. No issues with food, and ~3 times cheaper. Sad, as wanted to have a nice place to go in Stavanger
Would be really nice if they could make a proper washing/cleaning of the things kids use all the time. Even after renovation these rings and ropes...
Read moreOverpriced, dirty, and poor customer service. All play equipment has a tacky feeling to it, some places are dusty. Carpets have stains, sofas have stains on them also. Surprisingly the toilets are relatively clean. Some play areas are broken and in disrepair e.g. boat foam ball air guns. On the last visit there was mould growing in the slushy machine 🤮. So we bought a fizzy drink bottle for 45kr!!! Extortionate price. The coffee cannister looked dirty also. They now also charge 39kr for an accompanying adult!! That's on top of the 279kr child ticket. That's 308kr for one visit, limited to 3 hours max. The parking area is horrible, sandy, muddy, with...
