I don’t understand, why it is so difficult to clear the situation and answer all the questions. Last year I visited a glacier in Norway, and on the way was a toll station. On the road sign it was stated, that the payment “should be made” after leaving the area. Okay, I did it after leaving the area, and three month later I get a physical invoice! And I still don’t understand, should have paid for the both ways? I get a receipt at 20:14, leaved the area at around 19 o’clock, paid online for the time 15:35 (it was the time of entering the zone), and…get a receipt, that I passed the toll station at 18:51!!!! And, there is the answer, after one thousand emails with questions, how it could be possible…: “2 passes registered with OLYE690, the first pass was 24.08.2024 15:35:36 (which you have paid online) and the second pass was 24.08.2024 18:51:50 (this one has not been paid).

We see that you were on our website to pay for a pass on 24 August 2024 at 19:22, but passage number 2 (24/08/2024 18:51:50) was not approved by the system and ready for payment until Sunday 25 August 2024 09:26. This is because a foreign license plate number often has to be manually approved to double check that the country code and license plate number are correct. You yourself are responsible for trying to pay the fee again if it does not come up for payment on the first application.

This case is considered solved and answered. Further inquiries regarding this matter will not be answered.

Best regards.

So, it looks like one trick for earning the money, because I didn’t see an info that I should pay some time after the visit. And I thought that I paid, because 70 NOK was automatically booked after leaving the area!

So,...

If you are visiting Olden Norway, this is the one thing you must do!

You can take a boat ride to a restaurant where you have Norwegian waffles with sour cream, jam, coffee and tea. The waffles were also amazing!

We had never seen anything as beautiful as the water and mountains during the boat ride. It’s the best way to get to the restaurant as it’s slow and you have time to take in everything.

Once to the restaurant, it was a short bus ride to where you park and walk about 5 minutes to get to the glacier viewing point which is also breathtaking. Not to mention you can see other glacier arms on many mountains on the trip to the main glacier.

The pictures don’t do justice to how breathtaking and beautiful everything is. We would go back just to do this again and spend more time in the area! You will absolutely not...

You‘ll have to pay 100NOK or 200NOK (camper) to go there, but absolutely worth it if the weathet is good! Drive to the end of the gravel road to the parking spot. There is a gravel footpath 400m to a patform. But don‘t stopt there! Put on some good shoes and walk the natural stony trail even further to the glacier. It starts next to the empty red metal sign. The trail takes you 10-15min (one road) to the river. Best for fotos is before noon when the sun is not yet there. But also good with the sun just harder to make good fotos.

The restaurant down the road on the lake only serves warm food starting at 1PM, no...
