If you are visiting Olden Norway, this is the one thing you must do! You can take a boat ride to a restaurant where you have Norwegian waffles with sour cream, jam, coffee and tea. The waffles were also amazing! We had never seen anything as beautiful as the water and mountains during the boat ride. It’s the best way to get to the restaurant as it’s slow and you have time to take in everything. Once to the restaurant, it was a short bus ride to where you park and walk about 5 minutes to get to the glacier viewing point which is also breathtaking. Not to mention you can see other glacier arms on many mountains on the trip to the main glacier. The pictures don’t do justice to how breathtaking and beautiful everything is. We would go back just to do this again and spend more time in the area! You will absolutely not regret doing it.

06.2024/ what can be more beautiful than visiting the Kjenndal Glacier Kjenndalsbreen, alone, with nobody around at that time, in an absolute quietness. Amazing experience. We managed to arrive in the area around 19:00 so everything was mysteriously quiet and beautiful calm. We were alone the entire time. Such a quality time! Due to the fact that it is located between two mountain peaks, this glacier it is much more imposing than Briksdal glacier and definitely worth the trip. The glacier itself is amazing but the payment for parking is horrible. The parking fee is 70 kr ( normally) However, there is no machine onsite for direct payment with credit card. Never pay in “invoice” even credit card doesn’t work. Try more time for credit card. Otherwise, you get an invoice with 186,25 kr 70 kr parking 79 kr for “searching car owner fee” 25% tax (for invoice)

Amazing place! The glacier on the top shines with turquoise blue colors. The feeling of complete peace and the breath of eternity! Tranquility! It is possible to get by car almost to the very foot of the glacier. Then a little walk. There's beautiful clear lake in the canyon near. Place to relax and a restaurant. Entry is paid. Visited the glacier in August 2022

You arrive at this glacier by driving along a stunning road on the lakeside, the water has an amazing colour.. The last few km are on a private toll road (you have to leave the money into an envelope, and write down you plate number). Park at the car park at the end of the road, the glacier is just 10 minutes away on an easy and clean path.

Lovely place, nice nature, great view on glacier and all waterfalls around it. You can basically park 400m before viewpoint, it is paid and you need to paid in online. It is 70NOK. You can also get there by bike or by foot. Entire route is beautiful. On the way is small restaurant by the lake where you can refresh yourself.
