We spent a wonderful day at the farm with our grandchild. She enjoyed the animals, we were awestruck by the number of skills that had come together to create this place and make it work not only physically, but also financially. There's a reason why most farms are specialised today. These people have cows, sheep, ducks, hens, pigs, flowers and vegetables, an allotment garden and their own dairy ... plus pretty buildings that all seem to be maintained in the old-fashioned way.
