Hello from USA! 🇺🇸 This place is absolutely wonderful to visit. Both children and adults can learn about the history of reindeer, the park's geography, and enjoy a lovely Cafe with a lovely view. The man at the front desk was very knowledgeable and you can tell that he is really passionate about this place. There are also many hiking trails that start in the parking lot. Just remember to be prepared. The weather here changes very quickly, so make sure you have proper rain jackets to stay warm.

Ps. They also have a VR documentary where you put on goggles and take a "walk" through the park. Innovative and informational.

I will be returning (hopefully next summer) with my family to show them this...

At the wonderful route 37 you can find the Hardangervidda National park center. In this center you can walk around and learn about the nature and especially reindeers in an interactive way. You can also watch up to four different movies in the cinema they have. For example of the National park itself or about the people who lived there. After that we were recommended to watch a movie in virtual reality. This VR movie is definitely worth it to watch! 360° of beautiful nature and animals living in Hardangervidda. Last but not least, you can drink you cup of coffee or tea with a great view! Definitely worth...

Amazing visitor centre! The staff that day were really helpful and spent loads of time telling us some old folk legends as well as facts about both the park and about Norway. The children were allowed to visit the centre that is normally for school children and to look at items found from the park under a microscope. Stunning views from the huge glass windows and a welcome coffee in the cafe. Waffles were also available. The reindeer displays were very informative. Loved it and would...

Parked and followed one of the trails from the centre which turned out to be ideal, we wanted a couple of hours without anything too energetic. Really peaceful, only saw a few people walking and really great views and nature. Passed we stopped, could have stayed but decided to move in with renewed energy

Great national park, beautiful landscape although we did not see a reindeer. If you want to experience the whole beauty get a local guide. We went there during wintertime. It was cold but awesome. In those Mountains we were the only Group that went hiking. So inspiring and quiet!
