Personally didn't ski at the resort however I only saw a long anchor lift and icy slopes. As a more inexperienced snowboarder this would've been horrible.

I did visit the restaurant which was very clean. The food tasted quite good but it was very pricy for the amount you received. The pizza crust was tough and hard and the pizza was doughy. The amount of stew you received was minimal and on the cheaper side. Even if transports are difficult at a location like this the monopoly was taken advantage of. (such as 'no external' food signs).

The staff was pleasant but service could've been better. There was speakers and an attempt at music was playing even if the electric bass was the only distinguishable instrument. The acoustics inside were harsh and noisy making every plate scrape sharp and painful.

The redeeming qualities of the resort is the incredible views and the accessibility of skiing in the summer. This along with the blue ice tours with ice pick climbing. Not a place I'd recommend but due to the lack of options an acceptable place (if you...

The glacier attracts ski racers (for training) throughout the summer. It is steep which is why people come here to train. This year there were teams from the USA, Germany and Spain as well as a large contingent from the UK (and many more). If you want to rub shoulders with skiers on the World Cup series then you probably will be sitting next to them for lunch. The cafe is being rebuilt (and so is functioning out of portacabins at the moment) but should be fantastic when finished. The glacier is only open in the warmer months of the year as the road closes in winter. When you look at the "T" bar, pulling people up the mountain, it is hard to imagine that, like any glacier, the metal structures which carry the cables are constantly on the move as the glacier slowly slides down...

nice ski slopes next to the regular ski slopes there are lots of places with obstacles and ramps for advanced skiers quality rental material friendly staff cafe makes custom orders fairly priced great views from the glacier and along the road there no places for absolute beginners to really practice before going down the slopes. Even the easiest, green slope ends with a fairly long, steep part no ski suit rental, so beginners will have to make due with what they have or spend a lot of money the road up the mountain is not in good...

The Glacier Walk is moderate to difficult in places depending on your fitness level. Some in our group found the walk strenuous. Overall, the trek is strenuous in only the beginning and some sections of climbing. Depending on the snowfall, you may not see much of the glacier, but the views on the region and history the guides share make the trip worth it. There will be 1 hour of preparation and instruction. The guides are very professional. I would rate them among the best guides I have encountered in my travels. The trek is 5 hours.

I did the Blue Ice Hike a 4 hour excursion over the Fonna Glacier lead by our wonderful Tour guide Karl. It was medium intensity hike with some big uphills but we were slow and steady. It was intense weather, wind and rain, but that’s why we have glaciers! I absolutely recommend this hike to anyone looking to get outside and do some easy glacier hiking! The staff and guides were all wonderful, helpful and made us all feel very safe! Enjoy!
