Absolutely outstanding hike up to Oyfjellvarden 818m via the Sherpa built trappene (Mosjoen)! The views just kept getting better and better, just don't forget to turn around and enjoy them. Plenty of places to stop and rest, a nice Nepalese flag place around half way. Fun for all the family to complete at your own pace, whether it's a full day out or a run up and back (we managed up in 56 mins and down in 34mins but was trying to find the via ferrata (which we are completing today!) Read moreThis was quite the workout! Despite the stairs, this ascent is quite challenging. Make sure you have enough time, bring water and food and take breaks. You’ll be rewarded with spectacular views! After you finished the stairs and if you’re up for it, I would recommend taking the trail all the way to Øyfjell Varden for a 360 degree view of the area.
