Absolutely outstanding hike up to Oyfjellvarden 818m via the Sherpa built trappene (Mosjoen)! The views just kept getting better and better, just don't forget to turn around and enjoy them. Plenty of places to stop and rest, a nice Nepalese flag place around half way. Fun for all the family to complete at your own pace, whether it's a full day out or a run up and back (we managed up in 56 mins and down in 34mins but was trying to find the via ferrata (which we are completing today!) Review to follow.

We ran in the rain but was greeted by a beautiful rainbow on the way back down! Mother nature is quite spectacular!

We have completed many of the trappenes across Norway (Florli 4444 being the highest and longest wooden) this one we believe is the longest stone staircase and well worth a visit! You can also finish your hike with a zip line across the...

This was quite the workout! Despite the stairs, this ascent is quite challenging. Make sure you have enough time, bring water and food and take breaks. You’ll be rewarded with spectacular views! After you finished the stairs and if you’re up for it, I would recommend taking the trail all the way to Øyfjell Varden for a 360 degree view of the area. It’s unbeatable! Note that the last part to the top involves crossing muddy/snowy areas, so wear hiking boots. I took this trail...

Nice views as you walk up, hard to walk, first timers take it easy at start, then do short burst of walking, then breath when having a break, and drink fluids, when it gets tuff do 15 steppes then stopp do 15 seconds of breathing, do that and you all be fine! And every type of weather have its beauty in it. Enjoy it, and remember you need to walk...

Approx 2h each way when walking comfortably. You can instead also take the hike over the backside of the mountain. May take a bit longer, but it's less steep. Check ut.no 'Topptur til Øyfjellet'. Whole round-trip approx 6h

Zeer mooie "wandel" route.
