It was built with a narrow gauge of 1,067 mm, and opened to Hægeland 26 November 1895, and to Byglandsfjord 27 November 1896. Stations along the line included Mosby, Vennesla, Grovene, Iveland and Hægeland.

Lovely narrow gauge heritage railway with a steak engine travelling through beautiful countryside to this stop. Very small gift shop worth ice cream, coffee from a flask and soft drinks for sale. Stunning...

Nachdem Besucher Probleme mit den Öffnungszeiten hatten, da kann ich nur empfehlen, die Seite des Betreibers zu besuchen, denn es gibt nur einen Tag pro Woche wo die Bahn fährt. Ich habe hier ein Foto mit den derzeitigen Öffnungszeiten hinzugefügt. Man sollte sich aber aktuell informieren. Die Bahn ist für alle die auf so etwas stehen toll. Aber für manche ist es langweilig. Das muss man schon selbst wissen. Eine Abwechslung ist es allemal. Tickets sollte man auf der Homepage vorab kaufen. Am 29.06.25 war am selben Tag schon alles...
