An absolutely wonderful waterfall. It‘s high and skinny, but very stunning. The path to the waterfall has many opportunities to sit and have a break (if you need one after a long drive) and the path itself is well maintained and easy to walk on. But they have to make more parking spaces! You can park with no problem at the top of the waterfall. But at the moment only about 3 cars can park in front of the waterfall (so down the hill) and it can get quite dangerous if there are more. This is crucial because safety is a huge factor when building tourism infrastructure and somebody is bound to be hurt while parking dangerously here, because there‘s so...

The R13 is one of the main touristic roads in Norway. When driving from Granvin to the north you will drive by the majestic Skjervefossen, also called the Skjervsfossen or Skervefossen.

The Skjervefossen in the river Storelvi has two drop and a total height of 125 meters. The upper part is the most impressive part with a single drop of 60 meters.

You can either park the car at the bottom of the fall or at the top. Next to the waterfall there is path where you can walk down/up the waterfall.

The toilet at the top of the waterfall is a must to see, you will...

What a great memory with a stunning view to remember of my trip from Norway 💦💦. I visited on 2025 january and it was cold with a lot of snow, so i wish one day to see it on summer time and more stronger. We checked it from the top where lays the parking lot, and later on from the down side, because it was hard conditions to ride the road were closed, so we hiked for about 2km up the the hill, but it was fun to walk. Atleast on winter there were no fee to enter there 💪

The Skjervsfossen is a giant waterfall. Located near the village Kvandal. It is a twin waterfall. In contrast to the other Bug waterfalls of the Hardangervidda area, Låttefossen, Vørringfossen ans Steindalsfossen, the Skjervsfossen is a very quiet place. Not so man tourists, no cafes and nothing like a souvenir shop. But this does no harm to the beauty and the natural wonder of the place. You can park your car either above or beneath the waterfall.
