An absolutely wonderful waterfall. It‘s high and skinny, but very stunning. The path to the waterfall has many opportunities to sit and have a break (if you need one after a long drive) and the path itself is well maintained and easy to walk on. But they have to make more parking spaces! You can park with no problem at the top of the waterfall. But at the moment only about 3 cars can park in front of the waterfall (so down the hill) and it can get quite dangerous if there are more. This is crucial because safety is a huge factor when building tourism infrastructure and somebody is bound to be hurt while parking dangerously here, because there‘s so little space!

The Skjervsfossen is a giant waterfall. Located near the village Kvandal. It is a twin waterfall. In contrast to the other Bug waterfalls of the Hardangervidda area, Låttefossen, Vørringfossen ans Steindalsfossen, the Skjervsfossen is a very quiet place. Not so man tourists, no cafes and nothing like a souvenir shop. But this does no harm to the beauty and the natural wonder of the place. You can park your car either above or beneath the waterfall.

With its 150-meter height in 2 drops, Skjervsfossen is a great and powerful waterfall. When you drive uphill from the foot of the upper waterfall, you can have a full view just before the second right turn. Toilets at the top deserve a visit. Probably my favorite stop in Norway. It was not overly crowded (literally one other couple here at the time) and the waterfalls were absolutely stunning. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, but definitely park at the top and then walk down to the bottom. Like others have said, the bathrooms are amazing too. Great detour!

This waterfall is set in an incredibly beautiful environment, where the natural beauty truly shines. From the top, a trail leads down to the base of the waterfall, offering fantastic photo opportunities. The trail is quite challenging, but there is also a longer road that makes the descent accessible for everyone.
