Save Lohi Bher Safari Park: A National Treasure Under Threat Dear Concerned Citizens and Authorities, Lohi Bher Safari Park, a cherished gem nestled on the Islamabad Expressway, stands as a testament to the natural beauty and biodiversity of our nation. This once-beautiful sanctuary, adorned with a vibrant bird aviary, a captivating lion safari, and lush greenery along the banks of the Korang River, is now under severe threat. Encroachers and property mafias have ravaged this national asset, leaving it in a state of disrepair and neglect. The park, managed by the Punjab Forest Department, has fallen victim to the relentless advance of illegal occupants. These encroachers have blocked the roads leading to the park and safari, using fallen trees as barricades to deter visitors. The only accessible route to this natural haven is now through Street 15 of Korang Town, a far cry from the ease of access it once enjoyed. Lohi Bher Safari Park is not just a park; it is a symbol of our commitment to preserving the rich flora and fauna of Pakistan. It is a place where families can connect with nature, children can learn about wildlife, and citizens can find solace in the serenity of its landscapes. Among its inhabitants are young lion cubs, whose innocent calls for help resonate with the urgency of the situation. We cannot stand by as this national treasure is dismantled piece by piece. We must raise our voices and urge the Punjab Forest Department to take immediate and decisive action. The department must fulfill its duty to protect and restore Lohi Bher Safari Park, ensuring that it remains a sanctuary for future generations. We call upon environmentalists, nature lovers, and all concerned citizens to join us in this cause. Let us petition the authorities, organize awareness campaigns, and mobilize resources to save Lohi Bher Safari Park. Together, we can reclaim this invaluable asset and restore it to its former glory. The lion cubs of Lohi Bher are calling for your help. Let us answer their call and ensure that this park, rich in biodiversity and natural beauty, remains a beacon of hope and conservation in the heart of our capital. Save Lohi Bher Safari Park. Save our...

The roads towards the bird area is completely broken and at the entry gates there isnt even a single guard. On the lion section its difficult to locate at first and then once you reach it's such a disappointment to see animals in such pathetic situation. They smelled badly and looked starved. No guard or trainer was with any animal. Even parrots were in pathetic condition. Water supply in monkeys cage was inadequate. No attraction at all. The poor lion seemed v sick and was locked up in the back room that smelled weird and was too small for such a big lion. Moreover the fence around the back room was broken and people were taking pics and videos of lion from there without considering the danger involved. The back room view areas gate was broken and people were moving inside the rod area to see the lion that's not only dangerous but v irresponsible at par of administration. I would say this place can become wonderful If...
Read moreLohi Bher Wildlife Park Road─ a picture of neglect I would like to draw the attention of concerned authorities towards prevailing poor road condition of Lohi Bher Wildlife Park Road-the road leading from the expressway to the park is dilapidated and difficult to drive on for both cars and motorcycles. It has broken patches and is often filled up with rain water, created a serious situation . Not only it caused many accidents, but also damaged many vehicles. Moreover, it is pertinent to mention that the said dilapidated road puts the patients’ lives at risk while on the way to the hospital. We pay a huge amount of vehicles tax and it is fundamental right of the citizens to have better roads for their vehicles. No repair has been done from last years. Indifference on the part of the Punjab government has led the road condition to deteriorate. The concerned authorities must, therefore take necessary and prompt action in...
