This location is probably the best place in Chitral where you can get a magnificent panoramic view of the Hindukush Mountain Range and the highest peak on this range, Mount Tirich Mir standing at 7,708 meter above sea level, the 33rd highest mountain in the world. We arrived around 12.00 noon and was rewarded with a nice clear view of Tirich Mir.
It is recommended to hire a 4x4 to take you up the windling narrow road from Chitral town, and the journey will take about 1 - 1.5 hours to get to the fort location. For the more adventurous, I was told that you can hike up the mountain to this site as well. There is no fees to enter this National Park.
There is no facilities (toilet, restaurant, etc.) available so best to prepare food and drinks before starting your journey up...
