I visited this place in summer 2021 , its the place for those people who wants to find some time in peace away from crowd and luxuries , stunning views , lush green environment , pleasant atmosphere , quiet and calm every where. I went in my Honda city 2014 model fully packed with family, although its a bit hard to reach in meadows by your own car yet its not impossible , you really don't need a 4*4 to go up there from Astore town, but your driving skills would be tested on the way if you are taking your own car. otherwise one should stay in Astore town and hire local vehicle , one should stay at least one or two nights there to explore around, you can stay in pwd guest house , a local hotel offering rooms in reasonable rates , and in camps for economical stay as well. the tent village does have food supply as well and you can hire jeep from here to go up to lake if you want, you will come across some hotels on your way to rama from Astore town but my suggestion is to stay in rama meadows overnight and must have view of sun rise after fajar in morning , you do need warm clothing even in summer at night, so be prepared. Hire a horse if you cant walk for long and enjoy the green fields. for adventure seekers there is a very good opportunity as well and that is the visit to nanga parbat by horse ride from here , I didn't know this before , its a one day trip ,you can go up to the foot of nanga parbat and come back in one day and also by enjoying the on the way views of nature, one of the local told me about the views and meadows behind surrounding mountains, for that purpose you need to stay here for some days , hang around with some local guide on horse and enjoy. best of luck for your next stay here.

Rama Meadows is located in Astore Valley, it is very beautifull valley where the one can enjoy the breathtaking scenarios of nature, Rama lake is one of the eyecatching lake of this valley with background hills of Chongra Peak, the lake is at distance of 2 km from Rama Meadows, lake trek demands beginner level treking experience, also accessible by bikes(minimum 150cc recomended), ordinary cars and vehicles can approach to lake too, Rama Meadows is also one of the best place with lush green grounds for camping facility, tourist can bring their own camp or can hire too, locals are very cooperative and polite.Foods of good quality is also available.

Rama Meadows, the gateway to Rama Lake, is a wonderful spot to be. If you want to spend a night out in the wild, a day visit away from the heat of Astore city or just want to be alone in the crowd, this is the place for you. The way to Rama from Astore is heavenly, just the part of healing journey. Lovely place with enough of natural views. The place near PTDC is love. Public service msg: This Meadows is still in good shape, but the garbage & use of plastic will ruin it. There should be strict law enforcement towards saving environment at this beautiful place.

Rama meadows is located in District Astore in Gilgit Baltistan in the Northern areas of Pakistan. The place can be reached on foot or bike / car/ jeep from Astore. The Rama Meadows is surrounded with Chongra peaks and kuch green mountains from all around giving a utterly satisfying and amazing feel. The lush green meadow is filled with kanals running down from it which are coming from Rama Glacier lake which is on a bit difficult trekk and hike further from the lake. In the summers Rama Meadows is highly recommended Places to visit with your family and friends. The accommodation is available in the form of Forest resort as well as PTDC motel which currently is under some administrative change. The road leading to Rama is very scenic and one immediately falls in love with the natural beauty of the place. You can also plan to camp in Rama Meadows in summers under open sky which will give all sky watch lovers those views of sky which can are beyond ones imaginations. If you're lucky and the sky is not cloudy, the spectacle of Milky way from Rama Meadows is breath taking especially during moonless night.
