Sajikot Waterfall, located in the Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), is one of Pakistan’s most enchanting natural attractions and a perfect getaway for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Situated approximately 40 kilometers from Abbottabad city and easily accessible via Havelian and Haripur, this stunning waterfall has become a favorite weekend destination for travelers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas. What makes Sajikot Waterfall truly captivating is its breathtaking three-step cascade, with the main waterfall plunging nearly 200 feet into a crystal-clear turquoise pool below. Surrounded by lush green hills and rocky cliffs, the waterfall creates a picture-perfect setting where the sound of gushing water blends harmoniously with the fresh mountain breeze.
The journey to Sajikot Waterfall is scenic and adventurous. As you drive through winding mountain roads, you are treated to panoramic views of green valleys, pine-covered hills, and small villages, giving a taste of the serene lifestyle of rural KPK. Upon reaching the waterfall, visitors can enjoy picnics, photography, and even a refreshing swim in the natural pool during summer, although caution is advised due to the depth of the water. Sajikot is still less commercialized compared to other tourist spots, which preserves its natural and unspoiled charm, but basic facilities like small food stalls and tea points are available near the site.

Read moreMy visit to Sajikot Waterfall in Abbottabad was a breathtaking escape into nature’s embrace, and I’m excited to share my experience. Tucked away in Havelian Tehsil, about 27 km from Havelian, this hidden gem is a must-see for adventure seekers and nature lovers. The newly paved road made the drive from Islamabad (around 77 km) smooth, with stunning mountain views setting the tone for the trip.
After parking near Sajikot Village, a short 10-minute hike down a steep trail led me to the 200-foot, three-tiered waterfall. The sight of crystal-clear water cascading into a serene pond, surrounded by lush greenery and rugged cliffs, was mesmerizing. The sound of the gushing water and cool mist was incredibly refreshing, especially during the summer heat. I spent hours soaking in the tranquil atmosphere, perfect for photography and quiet reflection.
The locals were friendly, offering helpful tips, like renting a stick for 50 Rs to navigate the trail safely. While the path can be challenging, sturdy shoes made it manageable. I also enjoyed a picnic by the pond, though I recommend bringing your own food due to limited facilities nearby. Visiting between May and September, when the waterfall is at its fullest, was ideal.
Sajikot Waterfall’s pristine beauty and peaceful vibe left me rejuvenated. It’s a perfect day trip for those craving nature’s serenity. Five stars for this...
