Read moreGreen top becomes white in winter. I went there in March and road was full of snow. There was about two feet snow so hiked there. The road covered with snowy trees and monkeys. There was calmness and peace every where. On the I was thinking that there would be no life on top but things were different there. I was amazed when I reached there kids were playing there in snow and local people were busy in their routine life. People were friendly. Visiting this place in winter is really adventure. You can also trek to mahodand from this station. There is no hotel for stay over here. It will take about one and a half hour to hike this top from kalam. There is plain meadow on top and residential area of local peoples. You can get fresh milk over here because most of the have cows for milk purposes. Some of people migrate to areas on low altitudes because food can’t be arranged for cattle in winter. In summer this area is a natural meadow. Small grocery shops are available here. The way to the location is very steep. It's very hectic to travel by two wheeler or four wheeler vehicle which have low engine power. So, it's better to take a 4x4 vehicle or rent a 4x4 vehicle. Duration to reach is 10-15 min by vehicle and 40-45 min on foot. There are multiple tuck shops which have refreshments available there. There are also people with tea and kahwa service. The location is serene and people are very hospitable. We met an uncle named Kareem Chacha, he is working as a guard of the cellular network tower on Green top. He is very hospitable and nice person.
