Last summer, I had the pleasure of visiting the enchanting Ushu Forest in Kalam, and I must say, it was an absolute paradise for nature lovers. The moment I stepped foot into this breathtaking place, I was captivated by the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounded me. The forest was adorned with towering trees that seemed to touch the sky, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity.

One of the highlights of my visit was the picturesque river bank that ran through the heart of the forest. The crystal-clear waters gently flowed, reflecting the lush greenery that flourished on its banks. It was a sight to behold, and I couldn't resist dipping my feet into the cool water to escape the summer heat.

Speaking of the weather, while the cities were sweltering in the scorching heat, Ushu Forest offered a refreshing respite with its cool and invigorating atmosphere. The gentle breeze rustling through the leaves was like a natural air conditioner, providing a much-needed relief.

Accommodation in the area was both comfortable and reasonably priced, making it an ideal destination for families. The hotels offered ample parking facilities, which added to the convenience of the visit. The administration of Ushu Forest was commendable, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for visitors. The staff was cooperative and always ready to assist, making the overall stay enjoyable.

What truly made my trip memorable, though, was the warm hospitality and welcoming nature of the local people. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with open arms and treated as an honored guest. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to share their culture and traditions left a lasting impression on me.

Surrounded by majestic mountains and blessed with its natural beauty, Ushu Forest is undoubtedly a must-visit destination. It offers a perfect getaway for those seeking solace in nature's embrace. Whether you are a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, this place has something to offer everyone.

In conclusion, Ushu Forest in Kalam is a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. The combination of its long trees, river bank, cold atmosphere, and the hospitality of the locals make it an idyllic spot for a summer vacation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to reconnect with nature and experience true...

USHU FOREST, USHU GLACIER & ( KALAM VALLEY SWAT )

Usho (Ushu) is a village in Usho Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated 8 kilometers from Kalam Valley Swat and 123 kilometers km from Mingora, at the height of 2,300 meters. It is accessible through a non metalled road from Kalam by jeeps only.

Usho is known for its beautiful cloudy and rainy forest. Tourist attraction Mahodand lake is located 27 kilometers from there. In winter the famous Ushu glacier blocks the only path to the Mahodand lake and this path is only opened again in Summer, when the snow of the glacier melts and the authorities wipe of the remaining snow from the road.

Ushu Forest in Winter In Northern Kalam, there is an area of 6 km in width in which two rivers, Ushu as well as Utrot meet (one from the northeast and the other from the west). It is located 10km from Kalam and 3200 m over sea level. It is primarily Muslims who reside in the region who are fluent in Kashmiri, Pushto, Persian, and Punjabi. Some mountains are well-known for their hiking. Since winter’s weather is extremely cold, the people usually are shut off during winter months and then move southwards, only to return to their homes when the weather is good typically in the spring. In Ushu, tourism has been the primary source of income to date.

Things to do in Ushu Forest Tourists love this Valley to enjoy stunning views as well as fishing, hiking, and even trekking. The clean lakes that flow from Lake Mahodand, the dense green forest of Ushu, and the flowing as well as turning Kalam Falls make this tranquil beauty an ideal location for...
