Kumrat valley is one of the undiscovered marvelous beauties of Pakistan that makes you feel too close to the nature and mesmerizes you. The waterfall here seems like rock from far but you can hear the voice of water falling on rocks from quite a distance which make you realize the presence of a waterfall somewhere between these heights. It take around 30 mints to get there from kumrat main bazaar. You also need to hike up the mountain to get to waterfall. It's take 5-10 mints it depends on your stamina. Kumrat is a valley in the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Kumrat Valley is located about 45 minutes away from the town of Thal on the banks of the Panjkora River, and is among the most popular tourist spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Every summer season, around a million tourists from different areas of the country visit Kumrat Valley for its greenery and cool weather. Around Eid al-Fitr holidays, around 2,000 vehicles enter the region on a daily basis. It can only be accessed using 4x4 vehicles, as the road leading to it is unmetalled.

Another feature of Kumrat Valley is its towering Deodar forest trees located on level ground adjacent the Panjkora river. At several places, the Panjkora River divides into channels, on the banks of which a few makeshift camping spots offer accommodation to tourists. There are several waterfalls there as well. Kala Chashma (Black Spring) is also...

Its the only place in kumrat where you and your family can enjoy with ease otherwise most of the beautiful sites are out of the reach of a family man as they requires a lot of hiking or trackings, Kumrat is no more a good place to visit as you can see trashes every where, there are a lot of professional goons who will try to loot you, I've been visiting many places since I was a child but only 2 places are on my no go list 1st one is Murry while the second one is kumrat now. Reasons. Rates of rooms are very high even in off seasons. Rates of foods are very expensive. You are always at a risk of floods as it's very near to the river. The sites are full of garbage and trashes which could possibly be the failure of government and locals and also visitors. There is no electricity. Every one tries to loot you except some of them which is hard to find one. Tourism police are doining nothing for tourists as compare to tourist police of other areas like kalam, Kashmir and much more.

Not recommended for families neither for friends if you still wants to visit that's your choice. My recommendations are to visit kalam, swat, Kashmir sides instead of wasting your money and time for...

Kumrat (Urdu: کُمراٹ‎) is a valley in the Upper Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan.[1] [2]Kumrat Valley is located about 2 hours away (normally it's 45 minutes but due to road conditions it's 2 Hours) from the town of Thal.[citation needed] It is one of the beautiful valleys of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Every summer season thousands of tourists from different areas of the country visit Kumrat valley for its greenery and cool weather.[3] Kumrat is covered with green pastures, snow clad mountains, the river Panjkora, foggy mounds and forests are attractions of the region, which serve as habitats for variety of flora and fauna.[4] It is located in the Upper Dir Kohistan region at the back side of which Swat Kohistan area of Gabral is located.[5]. Deodar forest is fast depleting in Dir Kohistan Valley and it continues unhindered as the locals claim that they have no other source of heating and cooking in the harsh winter season. The people of Kohistan Valley had offered the government a few years back[when?] that they were ready stop cutting deodar trees if they were provided with a natural gas facility. However, the government did not pay any heed to their demand.[6]

When we reached at kumrat valley, it was an amazing view. I have never ever seen such kinda beautiful scenes in my life. We book a tent in the center of valley. After some rest, we start trekking towards kumrat waterfall. We were four guys one of my friend already visits the valley so we didn’t hire any porter. It takes 20 to 30 minutes to reach at kumrat waterfall. Kumrat valley is one of the undiscovered marvelous beauties of Pakistan that makes you feel too close to the nature and mesmerizes you. We met with a journalist team here, they took our interview for their YouTube channel but they didn’t upload our video. we buy some cold drinks from a stall (kokha) near kumrat waterfall. After enjoyment at kumrat waterfall, we move back towards our camp from a different and less used way because we want to do some adventure. It didn’t cost us. We came back in almost 50 minutes. It took some time due to change of the track but we enjoyed a lot during this adventure.
