Pros: Very well organised zoo. Its very neat and clean with everything well marked for visitor guidance. Enclosures are also clean and equipped well enough for animals' comfort. Enough info about different species is provided for educational purposes. Animals looked well fed and in good spirits. Presence of lots of young babies was a clear sign that animals are thriving and therefore reproducing. A free buggy ride takes you across the zoo in case if you are not in the mood to walk (Its a big place). Buggies are moving after frequent intervals throughout the zoo so you can also hop off anytime and then hop back on the next one free of charge. A big artificial lake is situated in the center of the zoo which adds to the overall visual appeal of the place. Boating is available inside the lake at additional charge. There are shaded sitting areas opposite the Giraffe enclosure where you can have a little picnic with your family and friends. Entrance fee at PKR 1000 for adults and PKR 600 for kids under 12 is fair price I feel. Zoo is open till 10 pm so you can visit at night when its cooler. This is by far the best zoo available to residents of Karachi and Hyderabad.

Cons: Lack of animal variety. There are too many deer and big cats concentrated in the zoo. Deer, Big Cats and Birds nearly account for 80% of the total species available for viewing. Giraffes, Zebras, Black Bear and a bunch of monkeys make up the rest. Most of the big cat enclosures are right next to each other. So the male lions keep roaring at each other, making lives of other animals nearby a bit difficult. Also, all this roaring scares the young cubs off. No maps of the zoo are available in form of pamphlets at the property. So you can't really plan your visit in advance, just go with the flow.

Suggestion: The Zoo had 6 lion cubs recently. Plus there were a couple of young tiger cubs present there as well. They can allow visitors to feed milk to the cubs (under handlers' supervision ofcourse) and put a ticket on the experience. I think loads of people will be willing to pay good money for that. This can generate good income. I have seen this in other countries like Malaysia...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Danzoo in Bahria Town, with family and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Here are some key points about my visit:

Ticket Prices: The tickets are reasonably priced at 1000 PKR per person, with a discounted rate of 600 PKR for kids over 2 years old. This makes it an affordable outing for families.

Parking Facilities: One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking space available. Whether you're visiting during the day or at night, you won't have any trouble finding a spot for your car.

Zoo Timings: Danzoo is a day and night zoo from 10:00 Am to 11:00 PM, offering visitors the flexibility to explore at their convenience. This is especially great for those who prefer a cooler evening visit.

Animal Care and Variety: The zoo boasts a wide range of animals, all of which appear to be well taken care of. Some of the highlights include lions, giraffes, peacocks, zebras, monkeys, and deer. It's clear that the animals are healthy and their enclosures are well-maintained.

Visitor Experience: For a more comfortable visit, Danzoo provides buggies, making it easier to tour the extensive grounds without getting too tired. I highly recommend visiting in the evening as the night view is spectacular, with well-placed lighting and music enhancing the overall ambiance. The music playing throughout the zoo adds a pleasant touch to the experience.

Family-Friendly: This is an excellent place for kids. There are plenty of engaging activities and opportunities for children to learn about various animals. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Location: The zoo is conveniently located around five kilometers from the entrance of Bahria Town, making it easily accessible.

In conclusion, Danzoo in Bahria Town is a wonderful place to visit. Whether you are a local resident or a visitor, it is highly recommended for a fun and educational outing. The combination of well-cared-for animals, extensive facilities, and the beautiful night view makes it...

I recently visited DANZoo, a captivating day and night zoo located in Bahria Town, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. The zoo offers a variety of animals and provides a truly immersive environment for both daytime and nighttime exploration. The highlight of DANZoo is undoubtedly the assortment of animals on display. From majestic lions to adorable monkeys, the zoo boasts an impressive collection that appeals to visitors of all ages. The animals appeared to be in good health, and their habitats were well-maintained, creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for both the animals and visitors. However, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. One aspect is the visibility at some of the cages. While most enclosures offered excellent viewing opportunities, a few had limited visibility due to cage obstructions. Enhancing the visibility in these areas would greatly enhance the overall experience for visitors. Additionally, it is worth noting that DANZoo does not accept credit cards, which may inconvenience some visitors who prefer cashless transactions. It would be beneficial if the zoo management could consider introducing card payment options to offer greater convenience and flexibility to their patrons. Despite these minor drawbacks, DANZoo is still a must-visit destination for animal enthusiasts. The unique experience of exploring the zoo during the day and observing the nocturnal creatures under moonlit skies is truly enchanting. The knowledgeable staff members are friendly and eager to provide information about the animals, enhancing the educational aspect of the visit. In conclusion, DANZoo provides a delightful and immersive experience, with a diverse range of animals in good health. Although visibility in some areas could be improved and credit card acceptance is currently unavailable, the overall charm and uniqueness of the zoo make it a worthwhile visit for both families and animal...

Visited Danzoo at BTK recently and overall, it’s a solid family friendly destination.. clean environment, decent variety of animals, and a well maintained landscape!! The electric train and safari jeep rides are enjoyable, especially for children, and the general ambiance feels safe and relaxing. However, there are some practical aspects visitors should be aware of Be ready to walk a lot. The zoo is spread over a large circular layout with many small offshoot paths, and unfortunately, direction signs are minimal or confusing. You often end up walking in circles without knowing which animal or area is next. Outside food is strictly not allowed, and the internal food / snack options are limited .. so plan accordingly, especially if you have kids. Animal enclosures are heavily caged with 3 or 4 layers of grills in some places 🤦🏻‍♂️ making it almost impossible to take photos or even get a clear view of the animals… The design seems more focused on containment than visitor experience. While the animals appear generally well kept, the range could be expanded and the educational signage needs improvement to make the visit more informative. That said, it’s still one of the cleaner and more professionally managed recreational spots in Karachi. Worth visiting for families and nature lovers … just wear comfortable shoes, manage your expectations, and enjoy the fresh air. Would I go again? Yes, but I’d plan better for the walking and food limitations.

I had a pleasant visit to Danzoo Bahria and was impressed by its cleanliness and peaceful ambiance. The variety of species, including lions, tigers, leopards, white tigers and deers, made the experience captivating. The friendly giraffes and cheeky chimpanzee added a delightful touch to the visit. The entrance fee is 1000 rupees for adults and 600 rupees for children. Under 2 years child can go for free. They have a free car and train service for visitors to explore zoo while sitting indeed a fantastic addition. This service is greatly enhance accessibility and convenience for elderly individuals, families with young children, and disabled visitors. Not only it provide a comfortable way to experience the zoo, but it also contribute to a more inclusive and enjoyable experience for all types of visitors. Regarding food, the options were decent, and the kids' snacks like samosas, fries, and tea were quite good. However, I did notice a missing element: a play area. It would be wonderful if they could incorporate a small slide and ride for children, as it felt like something was lacking in terms of activities for the younger visitors. Additionally, the double-layered cages with nets affected the visibility of the animals, making it somewhat unclear. They could add some more animals as well. Despite these minor points, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Danzoo Bahria and would recommend it for a peaceful and diverse animal-watching experience.
