Read moreToday, I visited the Butterfly House at Jallo Park with my family, expecting a refreshing and educational experience. However, to our great disappointment, we were met with two surprising and unfortunate situations:
There was no electricity at the facility, making the environment extremely uncomfortable for visitors — especially families with young children.
And even more surprisingly — there were no butterflies inside the Butterfly House!
When we inquired, the management on duty informed us that they have repeatedly raised this issue with DG PHA office, but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far.
As a public attraction promoted for tourism, learning, and recreation, such negligence not only ruins the visitor experience but also reflects poorly on the efforts of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA). The name “Butterfly House” loses all meaning if it has no butterflies and lacks even basic facilities like electricity.
We sincerely hope that: The butterfly habitat is restored and maintained properly, with butterflies reintroduced.
Electricity and basic infrastructure issues are resolved on priority.
Visitor feedback and complaints from your on-ground staff are taken seriously and acted upon promptly.
We look forward to seeing improvements and a prompt response...
