Review of Patriata Chairlift (Visit Date: 31may 2025)
If you’re visiting Murree and looking for a blend of thrill, natural beauty, and comfort, then Patriata Chairlift is an absolute must-visit. We had the pleasure of experiencing it on 31may June 2025, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip.
From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and pine forests — the kind of scenery that leaves you speechless. The ride itself is nothing short of magical — slowly ascending above the tree line, watching clouds float past you, and taking in the panoramic views of the majestic valleys below. It’s not just a ride; it’s an adventure that immerses you in the raw, untouched beauty of Pakistan’s hill stations.
The weather was perfect — cool and refreshing, with a soft breeze that made the experience even more enjoyable. The ambience is serene and peaceful, ideal for couples, families, or solo travelers looking to unwind in nature’s lap.
What adds to the charm is how well-managed the entire facility is. The staff was courteous, professional, and very tourist-friendly, always ready to guide and assist with a smile. We were particularly impressed by the quality of public facilities — clean washrooms, proper seating areas, and clear signage throughout. It’s rare to see such a well-maintained tourist spot, and Patriata sets a great example in that regard.
Whether you’re seeking a touch of adventure or simply want to soak in the beauty of Murree’s landscape, the Patriata Chairlift offers it all. The combination of natural wonder, comfortable facilities, and friendly service makes it one of the top destinations in the region.
Verdict: A must-go place for anyone visiting Murree. Ideal for creating memories, enjoying nature, and experiencing the thrill of soaring above the forest canopy.

Few Tips :
Go on weekdays, the weekends are packed, you'll need more time to reach the spot because of slow traffic movement. I went on Friday and it took me 1 hour to cover a 20min patch. I feel I'm still lucky !
Parking : They have parking plaza but to avoid hassle free safe parking. Choose a restaurant infront of the mian entrance, order food for when you'll return and they will let you park for free and even take care of your car. Tandoori choocha from Murree restaurant (Tandoori chicken) was 10/10 !
Ticket prices are 1500 for adult 500 for kids under 10 and 3000 for foreigners. Pro Tip : ALWAYS BUY executive tickets, there double the normal ticket but worth the price since you don't have to wait in que of 100+ people for your turn on chairlift + cabelcar. (Very time efficient)
First it's 15 min chairlift ride (2 person) to spot 1 where you can sit for a while, connect with nature can have chicken pakora, fries, veg pakora, tea , drinks, Chaat , horse ride , coffee etc. (the taste is just 6/10 but that's ok since what else you can expect on such height)
You can rest for 30-45min here , than you'll go via cable car (8 person) to the second spot ; where you can have coffee , tea, there is a glamping option by TDCP and a restaurant too. We stayed there for only 10mins.
You'll return by cable car to spot 1 and via chair lift to spot 0 (back to where you started)
The total cost of the whole trip for 4 people was 15000 including 4 tickets, 2 photographs and snacks and tea.
It's worth the money for a one time experience if you live nature !
Be careful while on chairlift since I saw people have dropped their phones, scarfs and even a jacket. Keep them all in a bag pack , nothing in hand until you're settled. Their is little turbulence so be careful with your phone...
