Rana Resort & Safari Park — Attraction in Nankana Sahib Tehsil

We as family, visited for the first time on 24th July, 2022, it took us to arrive there two and half hours. After the exit from the Multan road, while coming from Lahore, the road through the "Phoolnagar society" is completely destroyed, unfortunately. On top, the destroyed patches were covered full of rainy water due to rainy season that made it extremely difficult for us to judge from where to pass the car. I dont know when in future it will be constructed again. It is a patch of 3 to 4 km long and it took us to cross it almost an hour to reach Rana Resort. You must drive zig-zag to avoid, at 10 to 15 km per hour on that segment. This is one main reason for NOT RECOMMENDED, unless the road is constructed. After we arrived there, Tickets for entry, excluding inside entertainments. PKR 250 per head above 12 years. PKR 100 per head for kids from 6 to 12 years. Sunday is ONLY-family day.

Inside there was a warm welcome on the beat of drum. There are nice huts available for family sitting. In few minutes, it started raining heavily and fortunately we found a hut and enjoyed our lunch while it was raining. There are also couple of restaurants to enjoy.

There is a dirt road to jungle of bamboos. Due to rain it was full of mudd, no place to walk to jungle. It was a bit disappointing when you pay high price for tickets, you deserve atleast a proper passage to walk. Not to forget, the donkey ride with its wagon goes through a horrendous muddy dirt road (during rainy season) covering mud all on the wheels, where your clothing can be exposed, so be careful. However we tried our best to enjoy that experience but failed 😃 The big boat swing was really fun, without any seat belts. We also had boating experience with a short trip. There are also some hand pumps for water to operate, you will enjoy if you never did so. There are also some animals like ostrich, crocodiles and deer inside the jungle.

Overall, it was below average experience. I request the administration should address the issue of access road to the relevant authorities to rebuild the road for visitors, because there were good number of visitors and to construct a proper...

Despite the vast bamboo forest, I had hoped for a more diverse range of animals to truly encapsulate the essence of a safari. The limited selection might not completely satisfy those with specific safari expectations.
