The epicentre of Sialkot Cantt! The clock tower 🕰 is the most famous landmark in the city of Sialkot; also known by the name of Iqbal Square. Construction of the tower began in 1921 to commemorate the visit of Prince Edward, Prince of Wales to India. The Prince left Portsmouth, England on October 26, 1921 on an eight month journey, traveling to the Indian Subcontinent and Japan. He visited on behalf of his father, King George V, to supposedly thank the people of the Subcontinent for their sacrifices in World War I, but more so to calm the rising calls/protests for independence from Great Britain. Construction was completed in 1922, making the clock tower 100 years old in 2022. The foundation was laid by Commander of the Northern Army of India, William Birdwood; who later rose to the rank of Field Marshal in 1925. Construction costs were paid by Rai Sahib Ramji Dass, expressing his patronage to Great Britain.

All is well but i think government should need to focus on Sialkot roads. 27th july 2023 its my first tour in Sialkot everything thing was fine but roads of Sialkot are too old and can't handle the Today's traffic. Government should need to update the roads. The Clock Tower in Sialkot is a historic landmark that stands tall in the heart of the city. Built in 1906, it is a symbol of the city's rich cultural heritage and architectural legacy. The tower's beautiful design and intricate carvings make it a popular attraction among tourists and locals alike. It serves as a reminder of Sialkot's glorious past and is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history and culture. Near the clock tower you can easily find mobile accessories and fast food. In the north corner of Clock tower you can find the amazing historical building that's look like 18s
