Daman-e-Koh Viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of Lahore, making it a popular tourist destination. Here's a review based on what you might experience in June 2024:

Spectacular Views: The viewpoint remains a highlight, providing breathtaking vistas of the city, especially during sunsets. You can see major landmarks like Badshahi Masjid, Lahore Fort, and the sprawling cityscape.

Accessibility: Daman-e-Koh is accessible by car or ride-hailing services. Public transport options might be limited, so check for updates on travel apps like Careem or Uber. If driving, be prepared for potential traffic, especially on weekends. Parking might also be limited at the viewpoint itself.

Ambiance: The atmosphere can vary depending on the time of day and day of the week. Weekends and evenings tend to be more crowded, with families and friends enjoying the scenery. Weekdays might offer a quieter experience. There are usually vendors selling snacks and drinks, but check for any regulations or restrictions that might be in place in 2024.

Facilities: Restrooms and basic amenities are available at the viewpoint. However, these might get crowded, so be prepared. Public Wi-Fi might also be available, but check for connectivity upon arrival. It's always a good idea to carry bottled water and sunscreen, especially during the hot summer months in Lahore.

Things to Keep in Mind: Be aware of your surroundings and belongings, especially in crowded areas. Littering is a punishable offense, so dispose of waste responsibly. There might be entry fees or parking charges, so have some cash on hand in case.

Overall: Daman-e-Koh Viewpoint remains a worthwhile destination for those seeking a scenic escape within Lahore. The breathtaking views and fresh air are a welcome change from the bustling city center. Just be prepared for crowds, especially during peak times, and ensure you have everything you need for a...

I see Islamabad and some area of Rawalpindi through this point.Centaurus Shopping center, Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Meteorological Office and seventh Road Metrobus station are effectively noticeable.Bright day unexpectedly changes to an overcast day and outside air begin blowing when I'm there. This spot is children and family and well disposed.

This is an extraordinary point and the entire scene of Islamabad is noticeable at this spot. It is an incredible point for youngsters. The climate is additionally wonderful, however every structure in Islamabad should be visible well. At this spot you can accompany companions and this spot is excellent for a school trip.

Daman-e-Koh is a survey point and slope top nursery north of Islamabad and situated in the Margalla Slopes. Its name is a combination of two Persian words, which together means foot slopes. It is around 2400 ft from ocean level and very nearly 500 ft from the city of Islamabad. It is a famous objective for the occupants as well as the guests to the capital.

Daman-e-Koh is a midpoint making progress toward Pir Sohawa which is situated at the highest point of Margalla Slopes at a rise of around 3600 ft. The notoriety of the site routinely prompts gridlocks because of the shortfall of public vehicle choices on the thin, winding street. There is an arrangement to build a chairlift from Daman-e-Koh to Pir Sohawa.

Monkeys are a typical sight drawn in by the food given by vacationers. Cheetahs are habitually answered to dive from higher slopes of Murree...

Daman-e-Koh, Islamabad

Daman-e-Koh is undoubtedly one of the most captivating spots in Islamabad, offering stunning panoramic views of the city from a serene and elevated location. Nestled in the heart of the lush Margalla Hills, it provides a perfect blend of nature, tranquility, and breathtaking scenery.

The pathway leading to Daman-e-Koh is a delightful experience itself, surrounded by greenery and occasional sightings of monkeys and other wildlife. The viewpoint offers a clear and mesmerizing view of the Faisal Mosque, Rawal Lake, and the city’s grid-like layout. It’s an excellent spot for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Facilities here are well-maintained, with ample seating areas, parking, and a selection of small stalls offering snacks and souvenirs. There's also a small restaurant where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments while soaking in the views.

For families, it’s a great picnic spot, and the cool breeze at the top makes it especially pleasant in the evening. However, it can get crowded on weekends and holidays, so visiting during weekdays or early hours is recommended for a more peaceful experience.

Overall, Daman-e-Koh is a must-visit destination when in Islamabad, perfect for creating cherished memories amidst the...

Daman-e-Koh Viewpoint is one of the most iconic and scenic spots in Islamabad, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the capital city. Located in the heart of the Margalla Hills National Park, it is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you visit during the day or in the evening, the view is truly mesmerizing. You can see major landmarks like Faisal Mosque, Rawal Lake, and even parts of Rawalpindi on a clear day. The cool breeze, chirping birds, and lush green surroundings add to the charm. The viewpoint is a great place for photography, picnics, and family outings, especially for those who appreciate natural beauty and fresh air. It’s also a perfect stop for tourists exploring the Margalla Hills. However, the parking can get crowded on weekends and public holidays, and the washroom facilities need improvement to match the standards of such a popular destination. Still, Daman-e-Koh remains a must-visit viewpoint in Islamabad for both locals and tourists. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to soak in the natural beauty and peaceful vibes of the capital.

The first time, I visited this place was in 2014 and my recent visit was one month ago. I went there many times. Like always, in my recent visit, I enjoyed the view of a beautiful night where I see buildings with lights on like they are stars in the sky. The beautiful city, Islamabad was seen from there. Some hawkers were also there to sell children toys. There were some tuck shops and small restaurants. There were also stalls of jewellery, ladies handbags, pens/keychains with person names and other similar things. The prices of goods were a little high. Tourists come there in very large numbers and many come with their families. On the road to this place, you see the very beautiful mountain scenery. You could go in any bike or car there, but you should have experience driving on mountain roads and also drive with patience. There was not any entry ticket.
