A great place where to go for a long walk or a bike ride (on the convenient bike lanes) while enjoying great views of Panama City's skyline on the other side of the bay. Also great for ship spotting, being at the entrance of the Panama Canal. At night the area of Perico Island becomes lively, with most restaurant bars and kiosk opening in the afternoon around 3-4 PM. Bear in mind that there are trees all along the causeway, but they provide virtually no shadow, so it can get very hot during the day. Read moreThere are many scenic spots lining the Amador strip. Some even have parking lots, benches, bathrooms, and the occasional vendor. Unfortunately, for families and more demanding tourists, the experience is blemished because parking space is scarce, benches are few and far between and look like they're falling apart, and the bathrooms are there in "name" only (no water, soap, nor paper of any kind).
Finally, let's talk safety. There are no barriers between tourists and the rocks the lined the strip!!!! With the amount of rainfall the entire country gets, it's just a matter of time before accidents happen!!!!

Read moreAlthough a great place to walk, eat, relax, the Causeway has run into big issues with the "electric bikes". It's very dangerous to be around kids and teenagers speeding through the people with no regulations. This thing is not only dangerous but annoying. If there is a street, why do they allow motor bikes into the side road? This must be addressed.
