Read moreAbsolutely wonderful experience. The water was incredibly refreshing and scenery was beautiful. Esteban was a wonderful guide and explained everything as we trekked through the Chagres River up to the first stop which is the waterfall. First note, if you want to do the waterfall visit, you will need to get wet. It’s a little hike and sometimes reaching up to about shin to knee deep ( I’m 6ft / 1.82m tall). Also, you have the option to swim at the waterfall, so bring your swim trunks. After spending some time at the waterfall and taking some pictures, you’ll then hike back to the canoes and begin the journey to the community where you’ll meet the indigenous locals and have a view of how they live day to day lives. They were very welcoming and it is was a wonderful experience. You’ll then have some food that they prepare and some fresh fruits. All tasted delicious and incredibly fresh. After the locals perform some dances, you’ll have the opportunity to go around the village. All worth it to see the rainforest and take a trip...
