what a special little gem, hidden off the beaten path. If you are at all interested in archaeology, this is the place for you. The outdoor-poster boards are bilingual, but the indoor museum panels are all in spanish. The 2 guides on site did not speak English but were incredibly patient with us as we fumbled along. Very knowledgeable. Other useful info: parking right outside, there is no fee or even donation box to enter - it's free. Did not see anywhere to fill up a water bottle, but there was a guy selling bottles right outside. There are free - and very clean - bathrooms on site. There is no gift shop or cafe, so come with a snack. The little museum is also air...

Interesting tour of a civilization in Panama around 700 AD. These are burial tombs that feature several classes within the social structure and an in progress dig of the jefe (Chief) burial plot.

The museum has several artifacts and a brutal story on how the tribe treated their enemies and their families.

The tour guide speaks Spanish only, however the archeological manager speaks English.

An in depth view of part of...

Absolutely fascinating. We got there just after opening and we're the only ones besides school kids. A gentleman guided us around the site and in the little museum. Note: bring mosquito repellent. We got...

Pre-Columbian ancestors with no oral history to share yet they survived the Spanish Crusades and remain with their family lineage in the interior of Panama and beyond. A people with no modern name, language, tribe but talk to the locals and see what you uncover for yourself. Explore Panama and beyond! Extra appreciation for the work on Yohanna Rodriguez and Idalides Còrdoba for their artistry and strong telling.

The little museum is small but very informative. Our guide was great, too. Very patient and answered all our questions. Note that the museum exhibits are in Spanish and the guide speaks only Spanish. My wife is fluent and was able to translate for me. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, the site is worth seeing. Admission is free though I did tip the guide.
