Wonderful view. Nice rock trail once you enter the trailhead. Benches to enjoy the view and connections to other trails if you choose. From this view you can see the other Cerros.

We walked from town and it was about 3 hours round trip. My husband could have done it faster but I am slower and we enjoyed the view for a bit. Parked on the main street and walked back to Millionaire road then took the road of El Valle Resort and Refugio Cariguana. The road looks like it ends on Google but that dirt road keeps going for a long while. Just keep straight on it. You will eventually see a little yellow painted sign that says 'Cerro Cariguana' and that is where the incline starts and less shade. Would definitely need 4x4 if in a vehicle with good clearance. It went for a while more and then we made it to the trailhead, there is a sign and a small building. Around 50 minutes to this point. No fee to enter. Follow the rock trail from there. Enjoy the views

Also if you feel like just starting at the trailhead some people talked about the Bodhi hostel having...

Loved this hike. We parked at Mercado Artesanal- had asked for directions at the tourist information center- thankfully! Not really marked and most of the walk up the road we weren’t sure it was the right one. But saw one faded sign, so kept going. Then, after about 50 minutes walking (2mi from our car at the market) we arrived at the trailhead. From the road at the trailhead sign, it was a 10min walk on the trail to the very top. We could see the Pacific Ocean but it was a bit hazy. Beautiful views of the valley. As others have said much of the dirt road is very steep. One truck passed us. Up and back from the market took just under 2hrs, (we jogged much of the way down) elevation gain 1100 feet. No fee....

It is relatively easy to reach the top by walking from the center of town, but you must have certain physical conditions due to the slope of the terrain. Nature lovers will love the path as you can see many species of plants and animals. The landscape from the top is very beautiful, at any time of the day. Unfortunately, unscrupulous people have thrown garbage along the road and near streams that originate on the hill, which is very...

We loved it! The walk up took about 2 hours or so but we took our time. The trail is easy to find. Just use google maps on satellite mode and you can see the trail and junctions. I then dropped a pin on those junction points to navigate the course. Be ready for the strong wind as you approach the summit. Views of the Valle and the Pacific Ocean are awaiting you!
