This place offers a little adventure for people of all ages. The trek from the parking lot to the waterfall felt about ten to thirteen minutes. Although it is a straight walk you will have to deal with changes in the terrain. You will experience a mix of flat rock, jagged rocks, narrow dirt walkways and also boulders. A little risky at times but nothing dangerous. The entire way you will be walking alongside the stream. This is a perfectly sized adventure for someone wanting to hike a little but not sweat during the process.

The entrance will cost a couple of dollars. The parking lot is small and will fill up quickly. The road into it is narrow but with enough space to park along the side. Right along the parking lot are a few huts with tables and chairs were families gather and bring their barbecues. Walk downstream from there to get to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is very small by any standard but you can sit in certain parts and enjoy the flow of the water. It empties into a large opening where visitors sit and take a swim in the shallow water. This is the area where most visitors stop to enjoy the place before returning. It is not advisable to trek further down the river.

Myths and legends add to the mystique of many places. This place is no exception. According to online sources, the name of the waterfall, Las Mozas (the girls) comes from the legend of three sisters. To make a long story short, three sisters cried on top of a boulder due to heartbreak. Each one jumped into the water to calm themselves and magically became part of the aquatic world. Some say they can be heard at times. Others even claim to...

Very easy (during dry season) and shaded walk next to the river to see the falls. Can be slippery and tricky during wet season. Pay $1 per adult (less for niños) at entrance to parking. It was a busy day (Mardi Gras holiday) so when we arrived they asked us to turn the at around to park facing out. I also was there on a weekend in July and hardly anyone was there. I don't think we even had to pay. Turn right when you arrive at the trail and follow the river. You will arrive at the top of some falls in 10-15 mins during dry season or it could take longer in wet season depending how slippery the trail is. Be CAREFUL as it can be very dangerous if you get too close to the edge! If you walk a little further you will arrive at an even bigger water fall! (You will see a sign that says "dangerous area") but just depends on the time of year, beware of...

When you get there, you'll see someone standing by a rope gate. You have to pay $1 per person for entrance. Parking can be challenging on a Sunday afternoon. There are a picnic tables and a part of the creek that widens out so that the water moves slowly enough for wading / swimming. If you're sure footed, you can walk downstream to the falls. Its best to where footwear that can get wet because some of the path is through shallow bits of the creek. Flip flops and loose sandals are not recommended because you will have to walk over wet, slippery rocks that are by no means on...
