Playa Torio — Attraction in Veraguas

If you are looking for parties at the beach, hipster restaurants and fancy real estate: THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. Go to Venao instead. Torio right now is mostly a deserted beach town, with few development, with local fishermen and farmers and a new community of expats that has settled here with the aim of creating a sustainable-living project. If you want to relax, enjoy nature and quiet strolls on the beach, definitely check it out. Just bear in mind this area overall is more enjoyable on a 4x4 (although our SUV made the trip just fine), as the government is building the road and it is taking forever.
