This is a small museum in temporary quarters. There is an interesting display of tribal and clan artifacts. Aussies and Kiwis will be very interested in the display about the battle of Milne Bay; the first time the Japanese were defeated in a land battle. Most special is the display of wood carving by 40 local carver's from variety of clans of this part of the island. These each tell a story of each clan, and display the particular animal totems of the clan in beautiful abstract markings.
