I am so grateful for being able to visit and perform Friday prayer at this mosque last March. Our embassy staff took us to this mosque and shared some information about the muslim community in PNG particularly in Port Moresby. It is located not so far from the city and it has a large parking lot. Some local vendors offer fresh produces and I saw some people bought some vegetables and fruits. The mosque was packed by many muslim worshippers from different countries including some local people. I think further renovation is needed in making the mosque a more comfortable place particularly the ablution area and toilet. Also by installing AC since the electric fans were simply not enough. The sermon was delivered in English with some Arabic by a permanent imam from African origin.
