Lake Kutubu is the second largest lake in PNG. It is in the Southern Highlands Province of PNG. And it is the only largest lake in the Highlands Region. Its nickname is Solwara Blo Highlands.

It's located about 16km away from the home town Mendi. It takes about half a day to travel if you travel by PMV Bus. And if u travel by toyota land cruiser 4wd it takes about 3 hours roughly.

The whole lake Kutubu area is just similar to the Coastal areas of PNG. We have got sago, mango, coconut, breadfruit, betelnut and many more plants found in the Coastal areas.

Lake Kutubu has twelve (12) different varieties of fish, crabs and eels too. However, if you don't know the place and the lake, you better come yourself and proof it. Last Papua. Real Paradise❤️.
