QUERULLPA Valle de Majes-Arequipa-Peru Dinosaur Park - Querullpa Majes Valley-Arequipa-Peru

Spectacular area with strong evidence of Jurassic Dinosaur Footprints. It is recommended to visit them and siendo a few hours learning about life and its important geological history that the región has in the beautiful, highly productive and rich Valley of Majes in the Castilla Province of the Arequipa Region and Department located 1,000 km southern from Lima, capital of The Peru. Everybody and all are invited to visit them. The dinosaur fooprint are found in the Yura Group (Jurassic) which has outcrops very interesting sequence of sedimentary rocks. A delegación of members and currrent directors of the CIP-CD Arequipa-Peru, of the Chapter of Geological and Geophysical Engineering were visiting promoting the enhancement of such and important place that constitutes a great pride of the geoscientific detalles offered by the great area of Querullpa. To visit that beautiful, historical, geological to know that area which is 2.5 hours from Arequipa City and no more than 600 m of altitude.

Espectacular zona con fuertes evidencias de huellas de Dinosaurios del Jurásico.Recomendable visitarlas y pasar unas horas de cultura sobre la vida y su historia geológica importante que tiene la región en el hermoso, altamente productivo y rico Valle de Majes en la provincia de Castilla departamento y región de Arequipa. Quedan todos invitados a visitarlas. Las huellas se encuentran en rocas del Grupo Yura que tiene afloramientos y una secuencia muy interesante de rocas sedimentarias. Una delegación de integrantes y directivos actuales del CIP-CD Arequipa, Capítulo de Ingeniería Geológica y Geofísica de Arequipa estuvieron de visita promoviendo la puesta en valor de tan importante lugar que constituye un gran orgullo de los detalles geocientificos que ofrece la gran zona de Querulpa....

Nice to walk along some of fiberglass made dinosaurs figures. There is even a playground for children. And the entrance is totally free! Some may be disappointed by the small quantity of dinosaurs footprints, but if you don't want to go all the way to Sucre in Bolivia it is the only possibility to see something of that kind in Western...

Excelente Propuesta Cultural que ofrece Querulpa en el Valle de Majes. Ideal para niños, familias y amigos de los dinosaurios. A tres horas y media de Arequipa, se encuentra el lugar donde se hallaron 69 huellas de dinosaurios y ahora se colocaron representaciones gigantescas de estos animales de singular atractivo. El parque se ubica en Aplao, provincia de Castilla y fue puesto en valor por la municipalidad y el proyecto Zafranal. El parque jurasico de Querulpa se encuentra ubicado en el distrito de Aplao provincia de Castilla en el anexo de Querulpa a 3 horas de Arequipa por vía asfaltadas y de fácil acceso. En la cual se hallan huellas de enormes animales prehistóricos que habitaron la zona y hoy se puede observar sus huellas petrificadas en un área reducida sin embargo son múltiples las pisadas y se presume que hay mas ocultas.
