Great hike in Los Olivos (north of Lima). You can take a taxi to the base or walk up the street from the Thomas Vale bus station. At the end of the road (dead end) turn right and then take the stairs on the left up the hill and follow the arrows. Great views of the city. It can be very hot after 9:30am so be sure to bring lots of water. Going up is fairly easy, however if you decide to go past the big rock outcrop, it can be a little difficult coming back down. As well, not all of the trail is public - part is owned by the Army so trek at your own risk. If you use Strava, you can see the trails that most people use.

Llegue x allí para acceder y hacer un Trekk a las Lomas de Amancaes, Lomas de Independencia y a el Mirador no sabía q estuvieran arborizando allí, muy buena iniciativa de quién lo este haciendo y promoviendo, en unos años se habrá rescatado y creado un pulmón verde dentro de nuestra jungla de cemento
