A seriously beautiful hike in the Sacred Valley.
There's two ways to get there if you don't have a car:
Get a taxi from Pisac which will take you there, wait for you while you hike and then take you back. The going rate is 150 soles, including them waiting for you for three hours.
Take the collectivo towards Cuyo Grande and let the driver know you are heading to Kinsa Cocha. They will drop you off at a point on the main road where you can hike up 1.5-2 hours on a dirt road to the lagoons. It's a long, uphill walk so you will likely be too tired/out of time to do the 2.5-3 hr Kinsa Cocha hike once you arrive... but it only costs a few soles and you get to walk through really lovely rural mountain villages.
Hope this info helps someone out...
Read moreThree Lagoons is a beautiful spot where you can see how the people herd their animals in the local mountains. You can find a spot and watch the day go by seeing nature. Some of the lagoon had dried up while at this visit. To walk around the whole lagoon is not too strenuous if you're fairly fit. There is a local women's collective at beginning point where you can purchase hot tea and locally made items to support the community. Bathroom on site, costs 1 soles at time of visit. Visit...

Loved Paru Paru, the little ranching/farming community near the trailhead. My front-wheel drive rental car had no problem getting up there, but I'd imagine the road would be pretty muddy in the wet season. Taxi service seemed to be the most popular way to access trailhead. Perfect trail for those wanting to escape the tour...
