Out of the way, on the edge of town—not really in the countryside. We had an extra day in Arequipa with not much to do so we hired a taxi to take us, but it’s not really worth the trip unless you’re at loose ends like we were. Fun friendly alpacas, beautiful grounds, and the mill is in pristine condition. No one is at the gate so pull the cord to ring the bell and someone will come. There’s a large outdoor bar/restaurant blasting music down the hill and across the road where you can order drinks. Como cambió con los años Si bien antes el Molino junto el Hotel cercano, eran las únicas atracciones turística del sitio, ahora el Molino se ha reducido a su minima expresión, sus hermoso jardines y areas verdes que lo circundaban desaparecieron, convirtiéndose en una feria pueblerina. El Molino en si, aun mantiene su prestancia, pero se accede directamente a la zona de molienda, se llega a un segundo piso donde se aprecian las enormes piedras moledoras y en la parte baja la caída de agua sobre el mecanismo de giro de estos molinos; sistema hidráulico que se abastece con agua de una acequia cercana. Para ingresar se toca la campana, las entradas tienen una tarifa la que considera tasas reducidas para adulto mayor y niños. En el entorno se han instalado Juegos mecánicos, incluso un zip liner y oferta de monta de caballos y cuatrimotos; la única recomendación es hacer una revisión previa de la seguridad en las motos, no ofrecen cascos y muchas veces los frenos no funcionan. El transporte publico es terrible, los taxis muchas veces se niegan a recoger pasajeros de retorno lo que obliga a caminar casi a caminar un kilometro...
