It is a nice place to visit. If it is possible for you, bring the exact price of the ticket. The entrance fee is S/.15 and they do not accept credit cards only cash and probably they won't have change The visit is divided into two parts: The rescued animals and the plants. The rescued animals are parrots, macaws and manatees. There is an anteater. Manatees are rescued and cared for at least 5 years and then released. They do a good job taking care of the animals. In the part of the plants you will find many Amazonian medicinal plants and some traditional ones for rituals or ceremonies, among others. A part of this tour is subdivided into seeing some sculptures and one in particular that is the spirit of the jungle. They also have to do a boat...

I liked it very much. They have a great area with large turtles and two large "guard dog" Macaws protecting them from human hands, An entertainment tree for educating groups of children, a great selection of caged monkeys, otters, and of course, a few manatees. I was disappointed that they only had 4 manatees, in quarantine, I thought there would be a lot more in different stages but this must vary greatly as they work to rehabilitate and get them back into the wild. All the animals are brought to their care from either being freed from poachers' traps or confiscated from people at the airport trying to sneak them home. It is a great cause and the people there really care about what they are doing. My guide spoke English really well and gave a...

A beautiful conservation program a short 45 minute ride from Iquitos, Centro de Rescate Amazonico (CREA) gives hope to the world. I highly recommend making the visit for a modest 30 soles and seeing all of the rescued manatees (they had 11 total during my visit) and other bonus wildlife (macaws, sloths, anteaters). The intentions and story here are pure and you'll leave inspired by the work they are doing to rescue and reintroduce manatee throughout the region. Enjoy the visit (tours are typicall 1.5-2 hours) and consider donating at their website.

Legitimate rescue center about 15 mins from Iquitos. I learned a lot about various animals and plants native to the Amazon, and we had a lot of fun taking photos! For international , English-speaking visitors, my guide spoke excellent English and he was able to share a lot of information about the importance of certain animals to the local ecosystem.
