CASSAMATA HILL NATIONAL PARK 📌 Bangued, Abra, The Cordilleras
Also called by the locals as Victoria Park, the Cassamata Hill is a DENR-declared protected landscape because of its cultural, environmental, historical, educational and scientific value. The 57 hectare forested hill is one of the highest points in Bangued that offers the best sunset and a commanding and panoramic view of the entire municipality, the majesty of Mount Sleeping Beauty (Mount Banti) and the lenght of the Abra River Valley surrounded by the Central Cordilleras and Ilocos mountains.
In one study of the International Journal of Ecology and Conservation, they found out that Cassamata Hill National Park (CHNP) has a strategic and crucial role in climate change intervention as the only forested area near Bangued, primarily because of the rising levels of pollutants and atmospheric temperature.
It is always mesmerizing to visit national or natural parks in the Philippines.
