When I went here (2022), our truck broke down halfway through and we needed to walk(hike) for almost an hour (or even more than an hour) and it happens that there are no stores nearby so bringing your own foods, specifically water, is a must (make sure to be responsible of your wastes). But as I have also read in the other reviews, you would still need to hike even if your truck does not break down, though only for a short period of time (ranging from 10-20 mins if my memory does not fail me) and the signage in my attached photo will be the start of it. As for the Kaparkan falls — the water is cold, surrounded by trees that add up to its refreshing breeze. The edges of the ground, stones (limestones, the part where I am sitting at in the picture), are rough hence the risk of slipping is somehow unlikely but that's not an excuse not to be careful as there are some high cascades.

There's no better place to find yourself that sitting by a waterfall and listening to it's music -Roland R Kemler KAPARKAN FALLS-This waterfall is one big reason to go to Abra. Not because of its size, but its extraordinary appearance. Unlike most waterfalls in the Philippines, which are formed by roaring cascades, Kaparkan Falls is distinguished by multi-tiered spring pools/terraces that gently cascade down the forest (detourista,2019) How we got there #skl 1. May two ways if paano kayo pupunta either sasakay kayo sa truck or magtretrek kayo . A. If truck you need to pay 1000 per head and makakarating kayo siguro mga two hours sa falls. B. If maghihike 4-5 hrs trek, approx 10-12 km ang distance, mabato, madulas, muddy (kaya bring shoes and slippers), 5. Before ang pagpunta pala, you need to pay 50 per head and register sa barangay na located ung falls, and 50 entrance fee.,. For the tour guide 100/head., Konsensya nyo na siguro if dadagdagan niyo ung bibigay niyo sa tour guide (bigay niyo sa kanya mismo after ng adventure hhhe) 6. Since aabutin kayo ng lunch, dala kauo ng foods and extra clothes of course hhe. Bring umbrella na rin. Overall I rate the place as 10 stars but I demoted this to 4 stars because its not advisable as a tourist destination yet... its a good spot if you are in to nature with a up to 15min trek and 3 to 4 and even 5 hours slow ride in a rugged terrain. If you are looking for a even a bit of convenience you won't find any during your trip to the falls after the paved road. Is the falls worth it, yes definitely. If you are in to adventure go for it now while it is still pristine, go on weekdays if you will DYI and during rainy season. Weekends are too crowded with most of the travel agencies have already hoarded the slots.

Best for the thrill seekers! You need to go early at the registration area because the trucks are limited. We went last 2019.

The road is mostly rough road and there's a chance that you may not proceed to the falls due to the weather condition. In our experience, the weather was fine but there was a truck needed to be rescued the night before. Halfway, the wheels would be tied with chains to aid in passing through the muddy road.

There's also a short trek going to the falls itself. Once you arrive there, all your worries and tiredness will be relieved! The place is so majestic! 🖤

Road construction was ongoing that time so i think the road condition is better now although for me, the real thrill is in the...
