We are from San Fernando, la Union and decided to go here for a date night. I am so happy that we did because it was SO beautiful. It reminded me of LACMA in California. I absolutely loved the flowers at night. It was very serene and there were many spots to take good pictures. Only issue were the many mosquitos at night. Please wear some spray to keep them away because it's many many and you don't want to catch dengue. The drive up was a beautiful view that truly stands out. One of the workers even told us you can rent a space to stay there, I think it would be a nice family getaway. There are many spots around you can drive to. And also on the premises is a pool and a food spot. Please mark as helpful and follow my IG travel blog and planning services: Mame Dee World 🥰 Please visit this beautiful garden whether day or night, though I prefer night as you can see below

The Layugan Garden  in the town of Bucay is the newest attraction in the province averaging about 300 tourists a day. With its 10,000 artificial tulips in vibrant colors, it is attractive in the day and especially at night when lighted. Tulip LED flowers  in different colors- red, yellow, pink, white and blue – are  beautifully arranged  in an elevated land. Owned and managed by Mr. Jun Baroña, the Layugan Garden is located in barangay Layugan; about 10 minutes drive from the poblacion. It opened   just last January 14 and instantly became a tourist destination. In an interview with Bucay Tourism Officer Roger Bernal, he said the tulip garden   is one of the steps of the local government in nurturing the tourism industry of the municipality.

The food is great, just what you need when you crave for classic Filipino dishes. The vegetable in pinakbet were cooked perfectly not wilted not under cooked, just right. Native chicken in tinola is wonderful. The restaurant is clean, relaxing, al fesco dinig is very nice. People here are very friendly. Stop by when in town.

A wonderful place to visit if you are looking for a weekend getaway in the countryside for peace and quiet, a day trip just to hang out with the lighted tulips, or for family bonding or retreats. Reasonable pricing.

The drive up there is quite scenic after the city. You get a little forest bathing, which is good for the soul. The hills are great so it can also be a hiking experience.

The rooms we stayed at was clean, comfy and great view in the back. WiFi was difficult but hey, it was for retreating and a soul/heart healing week. Bathrooms were clean.

Only recommendation: small restaurant, maybe just for breakfast. We drove out to chow king in Bangued to get breakfast and made sure we had plenty of snacks.

Of course, anywhere in the Philippines, for all the tourist.. bring mosquito repellant. You will...
