An affordable place to catch some waves, eat by the sea, and generally relax. Found this place while browsing on Facebook and didn't regret going here. Located in Brgy. Malayu-an Ajuy, it's more or less a 2-hour drive from Iloilo City (if you're fast and are using a private vehicle). The place is somewhat new (they began I think in 2017). Best things about Alta Marr: affordable, friendly staff, NO corkage on food (just on drinks).

They have several accommodations to offer, from a kubo right by the shore for only 300php, to a huge bamboo house that can fit about 20 people for 5000php. We stayed in a modest bamboo cottage at 1200php for an overnight fee. This included free electric fans, beddings with banig, and electricity for lamps and charging. If you prefer air-conditioning, they offer rooms with AC and their own bathroom. But don't worry, their public bathrooms are separate from their showers. Also, there's ample water for everyone.

As mentioned, corkage is only for drinks. So feel free to bring your own meals. But they also have a kitchen/canteen where you can order fresh items such as shrimps, shells, and crabs. We highly recommend their talaba - clean and fat. Cottages also have their own BBQ stations so you can grill to your heart's content. Long tables for eating outside is 50php.

Overall an amazing experience. The resort manager, Nang Langging is very hospitable and we were lucky enough to be in her hands.

We visited during the first week of May, so their beach apparently has lots of jellyfish. One of the workers said it's because it's spawning season. He would recommend visiting sometime from November to February he says, when there's little to no jellyfish. So we paid 1500php to have one of their boats take us to clearer waters to a nearby island where my family and...

I recently stayed at the Alta Marr Beach Resort and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were to die for. I especially loved the private beach access and the breathtaking views of the ocean. The pool was great for relaxing and the restaurant served delicious food. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a nice beach getaway. Overall, I had a great experience and would...

not accommodating, we rent a karaoke and they let us stay in a pavilion as it's raining that night, it's nice that they let us stay there but they didn't let us use the lights there, their reason is because we didn't pay for it. so the whole purpose of staying at the pavilion was not for our sake but only for the karaoke (na overpriced) we're very disappointed, we got home early as planned too, never again. plus! your staff in the store can't even smile...
