Our visit to Ditumabo Mother Falls was an exhilarating adventure, providing a memorable experience filled with both challenges and natural beauty. Here's my review:
Pros:
Fresh Air and Natural Beauty: The air surrounding Ditumabo Mother Falls was crisp and invigorating. Along the way, we were treated to the delightful sight of bright blue butterflies, enhancing the overall ambiance.
Exciting Trail: The journey to the Mother Falls is an adventure in itself. Crossing six bamboo bridges adds a unique and thrilling element to the trek.
Nature's Splendor: The Mother Falls is a magnificent sight. Its powerful cascade, surrounded by the sounds of nature, creates a serene and picturesque setting perfect for relaxation and appreciation of the natural world.
Cons:
Physically Demanding: The trail leading to the Mother Falls can be physically challenging, particularly for those unaccustomed to walking on uneven, steep, and rocky terrain. It's advisable to wear comfortable and durable footwear to navigate the trail safely.

The greenery is lush and sparkling, the rivers and streams are cool and clear, and the waterfall was magnificent. Our guide told us that the falls get even stronger, but it was spectacular nonetheless. Try to see Mother Falls on a weekday during the off-peak season (June or July) if you want the place to yourself. We got caught in a downpour, but it was totally worth it!
Things to note: there are parking fees for vehicles -- the bigger the vehicle the larger the fee, e.g., trikes are P10; there is an entrance fee of P30 per person, and the required guide charges P100 per person. There are changing rooms, but they are located near the entrance/base; there are no changing rooms at the waterfall, which is at the end of the trail. You will retrace your trail (backtrail) to return to base. We had to cross several small streams, so if you are not experienced with this, I would recommend wearing aqua shoes, not slippers. The hike is easy and only takes 45 minutes...

They allow entrance to the falls up to four in the afternoon but you can stay until 6 PM. We paid 30 pesos per head and 200 pesos for the guide. The trek was not bad because they have already created bridges and pavements. Our guide told us that before the bridges and pavements, visitors need to cross the cold water several times. Before reaching the "mother" falls, several "children" falls would be seen, where the last one is man-made but does not affect the grandeur and magnificence of the mother falls. It is quite breathtaking to be very close to a 140-foot waterfalls. Majestic is the first word I uttered when I finally saw her. I braved the drizzle (my camera is not weather sealed) and took some shots. You will definitely forget the long trek you took. One of the destinations you should not miss...
