I visited in October 2023, right after finishing my half mary at the MassKara Marathon. We had a quick stroll around the city and made sure to stop by the iconic welcome marker. It’s a cheerful and vibrant landmark that truly reflects the spirit of Bacolod — the City of Smiles. Perfect for a photo op, especially if it’s your first time in the city. The design is colorful and festive, just like the MassKara vibe.

Place was easy to find and big. Great for TamBikes or Bike meets. Its just that stray dogs are everywhere, with their vomits around and poop like the first photo below. But all in all the place is fine, just not that clean because of the dogs. I love dogs but I hope they try to clean their wastes too.
